1.1.3 Italics
Māori and English words should generally not be italicised unless a citation requires italics.
The following should be italicised:
- names of parties to cases (including the “v”), for example Barron v Barron;
- names of newspapers, for example The Dominion Post;
- titles of books, for example Salmond and Heuston on the Law of Torts; and
- titles of government reports, for example The Prosecution of Offences.
