{"id":7825,"date":"2017-02-20T02:21:35","date_gmt":"2017-02-20T02:21:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lawfoundation.org.nz\/?p=7825"},"modified":"2017-02-23T00:22:49","modified_gmt":"2017-02-23T00:22:49","slug":"new-patent-law-and-policy-book-just-launched","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lawfoundation.org.nz\/?p=7825","title":{"rendered":"*New Patent Law and Policy book just launched"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Law Foundation congratulates Professor Susy Frankel (VUW Law School) and Dr Jessica Lai (VUW Business School) on the publication of their new book <a href=\"https:\/\/store.lexisnexis.co.nz\/product?product=patent-law-and-policy&amp;meta_F_and=9781927183830\">Patent Law and Policy<\/a>, funded by the Law Foundation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Patent Law and Policy <\/strong>addresses two core questions:<br \/>\n&#8211; What is the law in New Zealand when it comes to patents<br \/>\n&#8211; What is the policy behind the law?<\/p>\n<p>This is the second book published from Professor Frankel&#8217;s Law Foundation\u2013funded research project <strong>&#8220;Intellectual Property Law for a Small Developed Country&#8221;<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>The first book <a href=\"http:\/\/admin.cambridge.org\/vu\/academic\/subjects\/law\/intellectual-property\/test-tubes-global-intellectual-property-issues-small-market-economies?format=HB\">Test Tubes for Global Intellectual Property Issues: Small Market Economies<\/a> was released in 2015.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" style=\"float: left; display: inline-block; padding-right: 20px; padding-top: 10px;\" title=\"Authors Dr Jessica Lai and Professor Susy Frankel of VUW with Lynda Hagen, Director of NZ Law Foundation, at the launch of the Patent Law and Policy book.
