The Law Foundation provided support for the Access to Justice Round Table held at Waikato University on 26 October 2016 in association with the Maori Indigenous Governance Centre and Griffith University, Australia.<\/p>\n

Discussion centred around systematic challenges within our legal systems which create hurdles for indigenous peoples to gain access to justice. The ten members of the round table all contributed individually researched papers from their areas of expertise covering aspects of law that include criminal justice, education, health, indigenous standing, sovereignty, the environment and Treaty Issues.<\/p>\n

These papers will comprise a Special Edition of the Yearbook of NZ Jurisprudence in 2017.<\/p>\n
