NZLF National Young Lawyers' Mooting Competition Final in Wellington 1st August
The final for the National Young Lawyers Mooting Competition will be held in Wellington at the old High Court, in Stout Street, on Wednesday 1st August 2018 at 6pm. Two winning teams from regional competitions held in May/June will compete before three Judges of the Supreme Court. The competition simulates an appellate court hearing with a senior and junior counsel on either side, and provides a valuable opportunity for young lawyers to improve their advocacy skills. The Law Foundation has supported this competition since it started in Wellington and Auckland during 2013/2014. The number of regions competing has now expanded to four: Auckland, Waikato-BOP, Wellington and Canterbury-Westland.
