A public seminar titled Maritime Law in the Asia-Pacific Region is being held 2-5pm on 25th Feb in Lecture Theatre 3 (GBLT3), VUW law school, Old Government Buildings, 55 Lambton Quay, Wellington.

The New Zealand Centre of International Economic Law has arranged the event with funding support from the NZ Law Foundation to bring the keynote speakers to New Zealand.

Keynote speakers and their topics:

Professor Henrik Ringbom – Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law, Oslo, Norway.
The EU and International Maritime Law: Lessons for the Asia-Pacific Region?

Professor Hong Jun Shan – Vice President, Dalian Maritime University, Dalian, P.R. China
Openness and Inclusiveness: the Nature of Chinese Maritime Law
